The sun was setting as Matt pulled up to the house that matched the picture in the folder that Marty gave to him. The house looked old as it were falling apart, it was far out from the city way out on the country side. The way that Matt had parked his car made it seem like the sun was setting behind the house itself. He killed the engine of the car as he pulled the folder out from the visor and turned the lights within the car to read it. The files that he’d been given said it was an old occult library that used to belong to Marty’s former brother in law but was now supposedly all but abandoned although he suspected there to be a few squatters taking refuge inside. He stepped out from the car and opened his trunk  reveling a small arsenal of various weaponry, he took  a few knives and plenty of assorted bullets for his revolvers. He closed the trunk laying them out on the car before placing each type into a separate pocket on the inside of his vest where he kept Justice and vengeance holstered along with a pair of large ammo belts with his ‘custom’ munitions and a few attachable modifications for his guns, the most notable a large cylinder to replace the usual six chamber one. He leaned against against  his car waiting for the sun to set smoking a cigarette. As the cigarette burnt out the he looked up to the stars that shown bright unhindered by the usual lights of the city and sighed letting it drop   as he began walking up the walk way to the building. As he reached the door he took a flashlight and shined it inside creaking open the door but too his surprise there were lights already on. “What the hell.” he said quietly in awe to himself looking around. The house looked like the complete opposite then someone would expect from looking at it from the outside. It seemed someone had been living there for sometime, everything looked tidy and there were books stacked on tables, on the floor and on shelves everywhere and oil lamps mounted on the wall along with cryptic and macabre paintings. “This place is amazing” he said out loud examining a painting gruesomely depicting the image of Judas Iscariot, Brutus, and Cassius being chewed by the imprisoned Satan  from “The Divine Comedy”. His admiration was cut short hearing footsteps on the upper levels. “Nice to know that fucking guinea greaseball got all the facts on this place.” he said pulling a knife from his pocket and heading up the stairs to the next floor. He looked around the corner to see a girl about the age of nine or ten. He pocketed the knife and quietly walked closer to her, but she turned around as his foot hit a loose floorboard. She had piercing red eyes and long black hair “Hello mister.” she said sweetly with a high pitched childish voice and a polite smile. “Hello.” Matt said kneeling down to get to eye level with her “Do live here little girl?” he asked kindly. “Yes I live here with my daddy, I help take care of our dogs and organize the books.” she said cheerily holding up a book with a black cover and an odd symbol in red “So where is your father?” “Oh he’s down stairs with one of our little doggies, but he doesn’t like being disturbed while he‘s working with them.” she said rocking back and forth on her heels. “Well I don’t think I have to bother him…” “Oh that’s a smart idea.” she said interrupting him “ok, but I am looking for a necklace.” He was about to pull the picture that Marty had given him before the girl spoke excitedly “Oh you mean aunties wedding necklace?” ‘Auntie? How is she related to Marty’s wife, I thought her brother killed himself.’ he thought. “Yeah that’s it do you know where it is?” he asked cautiously “Daddy keeps it down in the basement, but he only goes down when he plays with our puppies or his friends come by, oh they should be here soon!” she gasped “Oh they’re having the initiation tonight are you joining the cult like daddy‘s other friends?” Matt didn’t understand what she meant by ‘initiation’ or ‘cult’ but he decided to play along “Yeah I’m here for the meeting but I guess I got here a little early.” he said playing along. The girl laughed lightly “Looks like you forgot your robe too.” “Oh I’m sure I’ll find one before it’s too late.” he said hearing the door downstairs open. “Oh looks like they’re here you‘d better get going mister.” the girl said happily. Matt did as she said and made his way down the stairs to the hallway and peered around the corner to see a group of people all with their backs turned and wearing robes of either black or white but all with the same symbol that had been on the book that the girl up stairs had shown him. He tried thinking of what to do moving his back against the wall which made another creaking sound. “What was that?” One of the men in the white robes asked turning around looking at where Matt had been looking from. “Don’t worry it’s probably only Pandora upstairs.” a female voice said from one of the black robes. Matt let out a sigh as he continued listening to them. “Now then come we’re late enough as it is…” he heard the same voice say “we wasted enough time searching that vehicle outside.” ‘Shit my car.’ Matt thought hearing them talk. “Madame is it possible that who’s ever car that was may be inside now.” he heard a male voice say “It’s possible but I’m sure if that happened they’ve been dealt with.” the female voice said before hearing footsteps heading away from him. He peered around the corner to see all the people going to another room, after a few moments he silently fallowed after them peering around the corner of the doorway to the room they entered in time to see them heading to the basement. One of the cult members in the black robes pulled aside two of the others dressed in black as Matt quickly pulled his head back. Matt listened closely hopeful to find out anything important “Listen…” it was the same girl from before “incase whose ever car that was outside is in here I want you two to stay up here and search for him and brought to me alive understood?” she asked sternly “Yes madam.” the two men in the robes answered as the woman headed down the stairs. “Fuck.” Matt said under his breath as the footsteps approached where he hid. He quickly thought over his options, there was technically no need to kill either of them maybe knocking them out and stealing their robes might get him some where his time to think was halted as one of the men turned the corner. The man’s hand reached for his throat but he quickly evaded him ducking from his grasp and sweeping his legs out from under him. The sound of the man hitting the ground alerted the other one who came running to his aid but was met with Matt’s arm putting him in a chokehold. With his foot on the first guards throat  and the other in a tight chokehold he held them both until they both passed out. In a few short minutes he had them tied up in another room and was pulling on one of their robes. “I can only hope the rest if this case will be just as easy as taking those two out.” he said out loud two himself as he descended down the stairs to the basement.
Damn it's been a while yeah? Any way enjoy
