5 Seeking SolaceIt was late in the night as a young man stumbles as he tries his best to stand as the rain pours down on to the streets and alley ways. "Those mother fuckers." He says through his teeth that are clenched so tight that they bleed. He finds an empty alley way between two run down tenements as he clutches his side while he slumps down on the wet ground, his back against the brick of the building. He begins to breath heavily as he tilts his head back looking up to the sky as the blood from his mouth and broken nose mix with the rain water that run down his face. 4 DarkI sat in that room under the only light there was, a single hanging light bulb in the center in the room. It created a perfect ring of light that separated me from those things that hid in the blinding darkness. The only things that I could make out were their bright red eyes that shone like rubies as they all sat outside the light just waiting silently. I remember I stayed in that room all night I didn't blink once and I never once let my grip loosen from my shotgun, I held it so tight that my knuckles were snow white. 3 LightIf there was one thing that I'll always remember in the vault was the lights. Those florescent bulbs that always seemed to constantly hum and buzz.
